Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant

Job description:
Answering and making phone calls and managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and making travel arrangements
Filing and administration duties
Drafting correspondence, legal documentation, forms and contracts from dictated recordings
8 – 10 years experience in the legal field
Grade 12
Ability to draft legal documents in accordance with the rules of the Magistrate’s Court, High Court and Supreme Court
Valid driver's licence and/or own transport
Communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills
High levels of organisation and flexibility
The ability to multitask and deal with competing demands
The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Diary management skills
Fast and efficient typing
Strong writing and drafting skills
Basic Technology and IT skills, including experience using the Microsoft Office package, experience in E-Justice and Legal Suite
General administrative skills such as filing
Excellent telephone manner
Must be able to start immediately
Must have traceable references
