Assistant To Catering Coordinator

Pick n Pay Catering Department is interested in employing an Assistant to the Catering Coordinator.
We are looking for a young, ambitious and passionate candidate to assist the Catering Coordinator with the day to day running of the department. Applicants need to have the relevant training and/or experience listed below.
Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Daily preparation of Platters, Mise en Place for functions and any food prep as required.
• Menu and Banqueting planning together with the Catering Coordinator. ( Creativity required)
• Cost and order planning
• Inventing interesting Culinary ideas to pitch to the rest of the team to keep the work environment interesting and competitive.
• Most of all, to assist the Catering Coordinator in any role that he requires.
Candidates are required to have a formal qualification in the Culinary Arts (Chef Diploma) or relevant experience in the field. I.e. 5 years working experience in high quality Restaurants.
Candidates must be able to give creditable references.
Candidates must be able to attend Interviews in Windhoek.
