On behalf of our clients, Global Progressive Synergy advertises for the following position:
Office Administrator/Bookkeeper: records the day-to-day financial transactions and completes the posting process on Pastel; ensure that transactions are correctly recorded in cash book, supplier and customer ledgers and general ledger. Reconciles accounts and brings the books to trial balance stage on a monthly basis. Completes and submits all tax and other statutory documents timeously, and processes the payroll. Makes deposits and records cash receipts. Issues and distributes customer invoices and ensure that receivables are collected in a timely manner. Manages the office petty cash fund.
Minimum educational requirements: a relevant two to three-year tertiary studies is preferable in either accounting or business administration.
The suitable candidate will have excellent knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles. We have proven experience with accounting software; Pastel is the strong preference.
He/she will have excellent communication skills, high level of IT literacy and a Code 3 driving license. The person will have a minimum of five year proven work experience in handling the bookkeeping of a small business. If no tertiary education, a minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience is a requirement.
