Paper Production Administrator

Hiring Organisation: Elso Holdings (Pty) Ltd

Job Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for the production administration of the Paper Production factory, setting up of a factory administrative system and the capturing of production figures onto the Pastel system.


Key Performance Areas:

• Receive all IBT’s and capture the relevant information onto the Pastel system
• Accurately process the transactions on Pastel
• Adhere to strict timelines and deadlines in terms of processing the IBT’s and loading paperwork so as not to delay the manufacturing or delivery processes
• Create proof of loading documentation as required to ensure the correct checklists for goods loaded onto the trucks
• Entering the quantities for the Bill of Material processing on a daily basis
• Check that no goods are received or dispatched to/from the Paper Production factory without the correct paperwork and signatures, and that the quantity of the goods has been verified
• Immediately alert the Paper Production Manager to any processing delays or variances on the Pastel system
• Ensure that all documentation received has been signed and dated
• Update production figures and data on a daily basis
• Prepare or maintain reports of records and other statistical and quantitative data
• Handle staff documentation and assist with monthly payroll submissions
• File all production administrative paperwork in a manner so as to ease searching for documentation
• Record petty cash expenses
• Monitor stationary levels and order office supplies
• Handle various administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, scanning, etc.


Educational and Experience Requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate
• At least 5 years’ appropriate experience in a manufacturing or financial control environment
• Understanding of production scheduling and factory administration
• A good grasp of costing systems and budget control processes with the ability to integrate between group finance and factory management to ensure the smooth and effective administration of the factory control
